On Thursday 20th of July the college was represented by two athletes at State School Cross Country held at Bundoora Park. It was traditional cross country weather with cold winds, pouring rain and a muddy course. Both students completed the course in Personal Best times. Tom Sheridan completed in what was a packed field. Tom came into the race as Bronze medallist in 1500m track event last year and set himself up brilliantly to be in the top 10. With 500m to go, Tom made a last kick to make up some group on the lead back. He placed 6th in the 15 boys age group. Tom Hardstaff is very experienced at this level as he has raced at the State Championships on 3 occasions. Similar to Tom Sheridan, Tom was with the lead group for the majority of the race and came in 9th position for the 16 boys. Both students should be very pleased with their achievements and we look forward to them representing the College in the track and field competitions in Term 3.

We will be beginning our District athletics training as of Week 3. Please keep an eye on the sports board for information regarding your event.
