The Mooroolbark College House Points Shield celebrates our students extra-curricular achievements including but not limited to school activities and events such as the music program, production, inter-house lunchtime activities, Education Perfect, Maths competitions, involvement in school productions and musical performances etc. We also use our School Values and award students with merits for displaying Compassion, Endeavour, Respect and Resilience.
Our students academic results also award them house points towards the house shield. This is based on student’s end of semester results for each house. Students are awarded a certificate based on their results. For example, Dux is worth 50 house points, Honours worth 40, High Distinction 30, Distinction 20 and Credit 10.
This system allows us the chance to not only acknowledge the various aspects of college life and what the college offers but also allows us to celebrate student success and willingness to be part of our wonderful school community.
Our House Shield is then worked out based on the total results for the year and is awarded to the House that has consistently participated in activities and achieved success throughout the year.
