YEAR 7 SHOWCASE NIGHT Each year our Year 7 students have the opportunity to exhibit their work to parents/guardians and the College Community. All faculties will be on show at this Show Case Night. SPORTING TEAMS Mooroolbark College participates in the sporting competition run by the Victorian State Schools Sports Association. This competition includes the traditional sports of cricket, softball, baseball, volleyball, tennis, table tennis, soccer, football, netball, badminton, basketball, and hockey. A full College team for swimming, athletics and cross country is entered in the local Interschool competitions. We also compete in the less traditional sports of modified rugby, gymnastics, and hockey. These activities are decided upon each year on an interest basis. ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS SPORTING AND LEISURE Skiing, Kayaking, Bike riding, European Handball, Ten Pin Bowling, Liloing, cross country Fun Run, Horse riding, Rock climbing, Gymnastics, House and Inter school competitive Sports, Aerobics, Badminton, Basketball, Baseball, Netball, Soccer, Volleyball, Tennis, Table tennis, cricket, Golf, cross country running, Swimming, Athletics, Diving, and Hockey at Junior, Intermediate and Senior Schools, Karate, chess, Self Defence, Softball, Ten Pin Bowling, Weights. CULTURAL AND ARTISTIC Music Soirees, Rock Music Bands, Instrumental ensembles, Lunchtime activities, Gallery Presentations, Annual Technology, Arts Exhibition, Drama Productions, Debutante Balls, Year 10 Social, Year 12 Social, Year 12 Valedictory Dinner, Harmony Day, Multicultural Week, Night of Excellence and Show Case Night. CULTURE The College values and promotes learning and active participation in the performing arts. Instrumental music tuition, ensembles, bands, individual performance and choir reflect a strong commitment to an excellent music program. Drama classes have led to excellent presentations from our students within the College and to the wider community. Opportunities to participate in performances are actively supported. A major College production is held every year and students from all levels are encouraged to participate. A Fine Arts Program is a feature of the College curriculum.
